Comme annoncé lors de la Gamescom 2012, Nexon est sur le point de commencer la première phase exclusive de test public pour NavyField 2 en janvier, disponible dans trois langues différentes.
«Pour le lancement de NavyField 2, Nexon Europe a décidé de retourner à l'essentiel tel qu’une bêta fermée devrait être : un test d'évaluation d'un nouveau jeu au lieu d’être un simple outil marketing, d’après Holger Zimmermann, directeur des opérations à Nexon Europe. Les invitations à cette période de test seront exclusives et limitées. Comme NavyField 2 n'a pas d’historique de service dans tous les territoires, nous souhaitons que nos joueurs fassent des commentaires constructifs qui nous aideront à finaliser le jeu, avant le lancement et les tests des aspects techniques du service. C'est pourquoi nous l'appelons plutôt Test d'Évaluation Public. »
Comme l’accès au jeu sera limité, Nexon tiendra les fans informés sur le nouveau NavyField 2 par les médias sociaux via la page Facebook.
