La petite équipe indé française d'Emedion Games annonce Beyond Perception.
Ce puzzle game à la première personne n'a pas encore de support confirmé mais un prototype est d'hors et déjà jouable sur PC, Mac et Linux à cette adresse.
Beyond Perception est un jeu de réflexion expérimental à la première personne, centré sur l'observation et la compréhension de l'espace et des volumes. Le jeu se déroule dans un musée, le joueur aspiré par les peintures devra s’en échapper. Entre l'illusion d'optique, l'énigme spatiale 3D et un jeu d'observation, le joueur doit comprendre la logique de ce qu'il voit et parfois faire preuve d'imagination pour rejoindre la sortie.
Après une première version développée à l'origine sur le moteur idTech3 en 2009 par Davyn Karan puis mise en sommeil, un nouveau prototype a vu le jour cet été à l'occasion de la game jam du 7DFPS en collaboration avec Jean-Remi Tessier, cette fois sous Unity.
Beyond Perception s'est imposé comme l'un des jeux les plus populaires lors de la dernière édition du 7DFPS en Août dernier qui a réunis près de 200 projets réalisés pendant 7 jours de développement intense. Les retours positifs des joueurs du monde entier ainsi que les nombreuses vidéos de test publiées sur Youtube sur cette demo/proto encouragent l'équipe d'Emedion Games à poursuivre l'aventure et réaliser un jeu complet toujours basé sur cette idée de perception des volumes 3D.
