2K et 2K Marin, les créateurs de BioShock 2, annoncent que Hangar 6 R&D, le contenu téléchargeable pour The Bureau: XCOM Declassified est disponible au téléchargement dès à présent en sortie mondiale pour Xbox 360 au prix de 4.99€ sur le Xbox Live. L’histoire se déroule avant les événements de The Bureau. Les joueurs y incarnent un nouveau protagoniste, l’Agent Nico DaSilva et son équipe alors qu’ils se portent volontaires pour une série d’expériences psycho-médicales afin de sauver un collègue du Bureau infecté par un agent pathogène.
Bénéficiant de tout le gameplay tactique de The Bureau, Hangar 6 R&D met la maîtrise des joueurs au défi et leur offre des moments de jeu intenses. Son contenu narratif les plonge dans la période fascinante des années 60 au moment de la Guerre Froide et les transporte dans un tout nouveau lieu clandestin unique connu des agents du Bureau sous le nom du Hangar 6. Avec des membres de l’escouade hautement expérimentés et des récompenses riches en XP, les joueurs ont maintenant accès à plus d’armes dangereuses comme le AK-47, et le Microwave Gun, encore au stade de prototype, qui permet de cuisiner les ennemis de l’intérieur. L’Agent DaSilva possède une toute nouvelle série de pouvoirs et de bonus basés sur son aptitude “planter et déclencher” des bombes qui lui permettent d’optimiser les tactiques d’escouade les plus complexes.
